Recommendations For Timothy

Healing Properties - Delray Beach (On LinkedIn.com)

“My first dealings with Tim / Healing Properties was in 2004 when a dear friend of mine was admitted to the halfway house, for extended care after completing a substance abuse program in another State. The structured environment provided my friend with the consistency needed for him at this delicate time in his life. He went on to be a leader in the community and contributes to the community in a multitude of ways.

Further on, Tim contracted me for my personal business. He was always pleasant to work with, on time with payments, and reasonable to work with. It was a pleasure doing business.

Since then, Tim has become what I consider a good friend and it is great to know that I can call him whenever I am experiencing problems in my own life. It is evident that he has helped save the lives of 1000s of people, just from my conversations with him.

It is my pleasure to recommend Tim and Healing Properties as a distinguished, clean, safe, and ethical halfway house in the Delray Beach, Palm Beach County Area."  February 10, 2011

“I have observed Tim since start up of Healing Properties manyyears ago.he has continued through these years to sustain a solid reputation in the transitional housing industry for provising quality housing at an affordable price..” February 9, 2011

“As a provider of drug testing supplies to the Rehabilitation Community for over 10 years, I have had the fortunate experience of working with Tim. His reputation within the tight knit rehabilitiation community is one of excellence and high standards. It is apparent Tim is not in this business just to make a buck, but rather to help people who want to better their lives through the help of a formiddable recovery program. Tim has always gone the extra mile in the way he monitors and tests the residents of his sober community. Where many of my clients only test for a minimal amount of drugs, Tim has always demanded that his residents be tested for everything, even though that raises his cost and diminishes his profit. His reputation among his peers is second to none. And within this tight-knit, and competitive market, peer acceptance is not the norm. Usually one rehabilitation community will not lay praise upon another; however, Healing Properties has always had the respect from Treatment Centers, and other Halfway and Sober houses in the community.

I would highly recommend that anyone who is trying to heal themselves from the perils of addiction talk to Tim Schnellenberger and look at the wonderful service he provides his community.” February 9, 2011

“Having known Mr. Schnellenberger for over a decade, I can say that his compassion and empathic communication in service towards others is hard to surpass. Helping to bolster and encourage all to do and be the best is part of his "gift". I say to anyone looking for such characteristics in a guide, they would be hard pressed to find another with such devotion. I encourage anyone looking for change, take the time to listen to this man.” February 9, 2011

“As the editor of It's all in the Journey recovery magazine, as well as the owner of Joy's House; a sober home for women, I meet and deal with a lot of therapists and counselors, but especially parents and loved ones of a addict or alcoholic who is new in recovery. Usually they are worried, scared and at a loss as to where to send their family member out of the 100's of transitional living homes after they've finished primary treatment.
I recommend Tim and Healing Properties without hesitation.
Tim not only runs a strong, supportive recovery program - he lives it.
I deal with a lot of treatment related busines owners and employees - and it is amazing how many talk the talk in public, but when you are with them one on one they knock their competition, complain about clients that aren't doing the right thing and more.
Tim has never said anything negative about anyone - only things like, "That isn't working with this person, maybe we should try this to help them." He has always been only positive and looking for ways to help someone achieve long term sobriety.
Tim Schnellenberger talks the talk. But more importantly, he walks the walk - and more of us would do well to follow his example.
I would recommend Tim to anyone.” February 8, 2011

Timothy and his staff have created surroundings that are nurturing and encouraging. Expectations of residents are realistic as they transition to positive patterns of living and working. Timothy is a visionary who has built Healing Properties with passion and a commitment to excellence.” February 8, 2011

“I have the opportunity to work with many professionals in the treatment industry, but not often is it so that an individual is viewed upon so highly among those around them. Tim is the type of person that will always tell it like it is and remain steadfast to his integrity. As in every business and every industry, there are those few who set themselves apart not because they strive to, but because that's all they know, and Tim is most certainly a member of the small circle!” February 8, 2011

George Walker: Co-Founder/Director (2003-2005)
George_Walker_Delray_Beach_Halfway_House

In the first years of Healing Properties’ inception George teamed up with Tim to formulate the program that Healing Properties Sober Living follows today.  Raised in Harlem, in the 1950’s, George (the more educated of the two) was a National Merit Scholarship winner as he ranked in the 96th percentile on the SAT.  He soon found himself at Wesleyan College.  With the changing socio-political climate of the late 1960’s in the United States, George found himself involved with a number of conflicting influences.  Looking to find solace, George finally made it to Delray Beach, and that’s where he met Tim.  George was instrumental in the rapid growth of Healing Properties Sober Living, bringing its size from 5 beds to 65 beds in a matter of 2 years.  During this time George wanted to perfect his skills for helping people, so he began to obtain his Masters at Barry University, in Miami Shores, Florida.  George received his M.S. in Mental Health Counseling (minor – Marriage, Family, Conjoint Therapy); graduated 2007 with Honors (3.95 GPA); NCC – National Certified Counselor; member Chi Sigma Iota (Counseling Honors Society); member American Counseling Association; member Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development. When George decide to continue his education and get his PHD, the workload of the two endeavors, Healing Properties Sober Living and the PHD, were too much.  Tim and George shook hands and parted as the best friends two men could be.  George is still persuing his PHD while getting married and having a beautiful bouncing baby boy.  (Tim is the god-father…fyi)

Brian Z: Male Supervisor (2008-2009)

As an alumnus of Healing Properties Sober Living and a well-known leader in the sober community in Delray Beach, Brian was perfectly suited to act as primary source of support and guidance for men at our halfway house. Brian invigorated Healing Properties Sober Living with an unwavering commitment to providing the best possible support to the male tenants. When Brian moved from Philadelphia to Southeast Florida he found himself in the same position as many of our clients. Ravaged by drug addiction he had two choices; one was to continue on the path of destruction and the other was to accept help and guidance, thankfully for so many that he has helped, he chose the path of sobriety. After completing a long-term treatment center in Boca Raton, at the Caron-Renaissance Institute of the Palm Beaches, Brian followed all the steps necessary to stay sober and upon a foundation of the 12-steps he has helped many men in their journeys of recovery. At 31 he has the ability to speak to men across age, socioeconomic position and station in life.
