911 Recovery is Really Worth Watching

This is culled from 911 “Recovery”, Season 6 Episode 12.

Bobby is determined to prove his Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor, Wendall, was murdered, rather than as a result of an accidental overdose. But Wendall’s murder case ends up being the least of his problems, because it’s tied to something far darker and much more sinister. See Wendall had the goods on a rehab center called Winding Path, a center where Bobby’s pal Tamara has just overdosed, and a center which has accused Bobby of burning it to the ground.

No lie.

When Bobby shows up at the center to save Tamara, the principals attempt to stop him from getting onto the property and Bobby is forced to lay one out. By the time he finds Tamara and attempts to lead her to safety, the building’s on fire and they’re forced to flee through the flames. ONce they’re outside, the treatment center staff accuses Bobby of a cavalcade of charges, including setting the fire, and he gets arrested.

Afterward they find the camera, a camera Wendell said would set them all free but ended up getting him killed.

It’s a helluva situation. Wendell taking a shot and giving up his sobriety so Tamara doesn’t have to. But he had no way of knowing it would be a hot shot. Yet a hot shot it was, and it took dead Wendall where he sat.

There’s more to the episode, of course, much more. Largely because it’s a roar of an episode – lean, clean and crafty. In fact, it’s really clean. As in AA sponsorship clean. Then again, what do you expect from an episode called “Recovery.”?
