Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is where you’ll solidify everything you’ve learned about your addiction. In other words, IOP will provide you the opportunity to use the recovery tools you’ve been given, whether that was here at Healing Properties, or elsewhere. Furthermore, it’ll grant you the chance to put into practice all the spiritual tools in your recovery tool box. At IOP you will learn how to walk the walk that will permit you to live the life. Better yet, you’ll be walking that walk with all the benefits of a trusted safety net. While you’re in IOP, you’ll be provided the expert guidance necessary for you to stay on the road to recovery. With our staff at Healing Properties watching your back every step of the way, we’ll make sure you put your best foot forward.

GUIDANCE & SUPPORT

While in IOP, you’ll learn to rely upon trusted, sober advisors -- ours and others (all schooled in long-term sobriety) -- ensuring that all your choices as a sober man take into account every aspect of your recovery. You’ll be braced for whatever lies ahead, because you’ll have the strength and knowledge of those who’ve come before you. You’ll learn to employ the positivity of people who’ve been there and know what it takes to live happy joyous and free.
IOP will also fully address life management, just as we do in our inpatient program -- only more so. Now you’ll be taking steps back into the world-at-large, and we’ll ensure those steps are carefully considered and assured. Dealing with outstanding legal entanglements? Our case managers will help you untangle them. Need to put together a resume, open a bank account or apply for student aid? We’ll help you do that too. Whatever it takes to get you on your way to your new and sober life.

Rejoin Society

And what about that job? Well, a job is a spiritual thing. Even if it isn’t your dream career. You know, a job you take while you complete your schooling or otherwise prepare to pursue your chosen career. Simply rejoining the workforce and becoming a responsible member of society again can produce all sorts of spiritual rewards. You’ll become aware of all you’re capable of. You’ll learn tolerance and patience and understanding. You may pick up a new set of skills, or perhaps even discover a whole new career. Mostly though, you’ll find the solace and the dignity that comes from being reliable. Everybody respects someone who can be counted on. And becoming someone who can be counted on is the surest way for you to regain the respect of others, as well as the respect of yourself.

Fellowship & Accountability

IOP meets three evenings a week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) which will give you ample time for learning and applying everything our addiction treatment program has to offer. You’ll have camaraderie and fellowship, consistency and accountability. You’ll also be building a foundation for the future. Consider IOP a place where you regain your footing; the footing that can only be found on solid ground.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Healing Properties

If you are seeking help with drug and alcohol addiction, you may benefit from an Intensive Outpatient Program. The Intensive Outpatient Program at Healing Properties is intended to help you transition from an Inpatient or Partial Hospitalization Program. The Intensive Outpatient Program entails an estimated length of stay of approximately 12 weeks in total. You will receive 9 to 15 hours of group therapy and individual therapy sessions while living at our structured sober living environment. At Healing Properties, the Intensive Outpatient Program incorporates daily activities such as work or school, while continuing to enhance your recovery program. During our Intensive Outpatient Program, you are aided with vocational and financial counseling. Our case managers and primary therapists assist you with the entire job-seeking process. Resume building, interview techniques, and banking skills and money management are some of the services we offer at Healing Properties.

BENEFITS OF IOP

Individuals who enter into our Outpatient program (OP) will find that the continued support in this level of care is essential to maintaining long-term recovery. You must meet the following criteria to be able to participate in Outpatient programing: you must be medically and psychiatrically stable, abstinent from substances, and have completed treatment in a Residential, Partial Hospitalization, or Intensive-Outpatient setting. Transitioning into the local community and participating in everyday life can bring difficult challenges into your early recovery. However, an Outpatient program will allow you to have support and structure while maintaining employment at a full-time job.
There are many benefits of attending the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Healing Properties. One of the benefits is the opportunity to live in a supportive, sober independent environment. You are provided with close oversight as you are required to be active in the local community of Delray Beach. You will be required to be job searching between the hours of 10:00AM until 4:00PM. Staff members will check-in with you daily to assess your progress made during the job-seeking process. You will typically procure full-time employment within 1-2 weeks provided you are actively searching and engaged. Our program is also uniquely suited to fit your needs through individualized treatment plans and therapeutic modalities. The Alumni Program at Healing Properties also offers an extra bridge of support who can aid with vocational opportunities.

You will also continue to attend at least five 12-step AA meetings per week, meet with your therapist weekly, and communicate with their sponsor regularly. Oversight is provided of your step work efforts to ensure completion of needed AA step work to include steps four and five prior to transition to the Intensive Outpatient Program. One of the many benefits of attending our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is the ability to receive therapeutic services, medical attention, and psychiatric assistance on an as-needed basis. All of the Intensive Outpatient Program’s groups and sessions are geared toward treating the underlying causes of addiction and facilitating lasting recovery from drug and alcohol abuse.
